Overview MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) travel assignment in Seaside, Oregon. Start date 08/31/2026 for a weeks-long engagement. Weekly pay range $2,328–$2,477 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift pattern: 4x10 days. Work setting is a hospital-based MRI/Radiology unit in a critical access facility with 23 staffed beds. This assignment requires block scheduling with a noted Wednesday–Saturday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM component and another block pattern Monday–Thursday;

Responsibilities
  • Perform adult MRI exams across brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), abdomen, chest, breast, and head/neck, employing advanced imaging techniques (diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, MPR, ADC mapping, subtraction, post-processing) to produce diagnostic-quality studies
  • Screen patients for MRI safety, position and prepare patients, obtain informed consent as required, and monitor comfort throughout the exam
  • Acquire and process images using the PACS workflow; document study details in the Epic charting system with attention to accuracy and privacy
  • Collaborate with radiologists and the radiology team to determine appropriate sequences and protocols for each patient; adjust imaging parameters as indicated
  • Maintain equipment readiness, perform standard quality control, and ensure cleanliness and safety within the MRI suite
  • Adhere to scheduling guidelines and patient flow requirements; align with the unit’s block schedule and patient ratio targets
Requirements
  • Minimum: 1 year MRI technologist experience
  • Certifications:

    BLS required
  • Imaging and technical skills: proficiency in adult MRI exams with capabilities including diffusion, post-processing, and routine sequences; PACS experience;
    Epic charting familiarity
  • Vendor experience: GE MRI system experience preferred; familiarity with Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba noted
  • Additional: ability to work in a MRI environment with appropriate safety practices; references: 2 required (covering the last year); pre-start modules (~16 hours) to be completed as part of onboarding
  • Compliance notes: COVID-19 vaccine not required per posting; must be able to provide SSN and DOB for compliance; RTO (time off) rules and holiday coverage apply as outlined by the program
  • Scheduling: candidate must be able to support block scheduling and variations per the posting; no on-call or weekend coverage required unless otherwise specified
