We are seeking an energetic, creative, and hospitality-focused Life Enrichment Director to lead an exceptional resident engagement program within our Independent Living community. This individual will design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive calendar of experiences that promote wellness, lifelong learning, social connection, purpose, and joy for our residents.

Job Summary
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all aspects of the resident life enrichment and volunteer programs, including the transportation for events and activities as required for an independent living, assisted living and/or memory care community.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging short- and long-term activity programs aligned with Ovation's Mission and Core Values.
- Develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members.
- Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters.
- Participate in community event planning with the marketing staff.
- Prepare person-centered Activities as a description for the monthly calendar.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure the residents' service plan preferences are created and kept up-to-date and update residents' service plan preferences in their electronic health record.
- Review all resident care plans on a quarterly basis for accuracy regarding the activities department and to recognize the ability and needs of the residents.
- Lead and motivate a team of Lifestyle staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality programming.
- Schedule department work hours (including vacations and holiday schedules), personnel, work assignments, etc.
- Counsel/discipline activity personnel with as requested or necessary with coordination of the human resource department.
- Design and oversee group activities and personalized experiences that meet residents' unique needs, interests, and abilities.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, manage documentation, and maintain activity records.
- Foster a strong sense of community through creative programming such as celebrations, themed events, and group outings.
- Manage departmental budgets, schedules, transportation services, and special event coordination.
- Make routine visits to residents.
- Participate in facility surveys by authorized state and government agencies.
- Develop a plan of correction for activity deficiencies noted during survey inspections in conjunction with Executive Director.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
