American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and proficiency in adult echocardiography, with first-time travelers welcome.
Requirements- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be proficient in starting own IVs for contrast studies
- Skilled in Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
- 3-D Echo experience preferred
- Proficient in calculations including Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, and Simpson's Rule
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and performing procedures on ICU/ED patients
- ARDMS, ARRT-S, CCI, and RDCS-RVT certifications preferred
- Oregon license required if applicable
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Critical access hospital setting with 23 staffed beds
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department work settings
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
- Patient ratio of 1:1.1
- No on-call requirements
- No weekend requirements
No block scheduling required - May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/sister facilities
- Uses GE and Philips echo equipment
- Charting completed in Epic
- Perform adult echocardiography studies including stress echo, contrast studies, and portable exams across acute care, outpatient, ICU and ED settings
- Any scrub color accepted for outpatient/PT areas; scrubs provided for OR/L&D
- No parking fees at this facility
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local candidate at a lower bill rate
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
