Onsite Shift: Night Shift The ideal candidate is an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who is eligible for or currently holds the required Oregon sonography license and ARDMS certification.
Current Oregon Sonographer License or Oregon Sonographer Temporary License Current American Heart Association BLS Current ARDMS certification, or board eligibility with the ability to obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire Diagnostic ultrasound clinical experience Preferably 2+ years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience Strong patient-care skills and the ability to perform examinations while considering individual, special, and age-related patient needs New graduates may be considered if they meet the board-eligibility and Oregon temporary licensing requirements
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders. Operate and utilize a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment. Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images. Adjust examinations and imaging techniques based on individual patient needs. Account for special and age-related considerations during examinations. Follow established departmental procedures, clinical standards, and safety requirements. Maintain a patient-focused approach throughout diagnostic procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain appropriate documentation related to ultrasound examinations. Support the hospital's commitment to quality, safety, and whole-person patient care.
Education:
Education sufficient to meet applicable certification, licensing, and registration requirements.
Candidate must meet the following requirements:
Oregon Sonographer License OR Oregon Sonographer Temporary License – required upon hire National Provider BLS – American Heart Association – required upon hire ARDMS – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification – required within 6 months (180 days) of hire New Graduate Requirements New graduates may be considered but must:
Board eligible for ARDMS certification upon hire. Obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire. Have an OBMI temporary license upon hire. Obtain the required permanent Oregon license within 6 months of hire.
2+ years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound Previous hospital or healthcare diagnostic imaging experience Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and equipment Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
