Join Our Horizon Air Family as a Flight Attendant – Based at Seattle‑Tacoma International Airport. Have you ever wanted a career where hospitality meets adventure, and every flight brings a new opportunity to make someone's day better? Horizon Air, flying as the trusted regional partner of Alaska Airlines, is looking for warm, level‑headed, and genuinely gracious people to join our cabin crew team in Sea Tac, Washington.
This isn't just a job about serving coffee or checking seatbelts—though those matter too. It's about being the person who turns a routine flight into a welcoming experience. If you naturally put others at ease, stay calm when things get bumpy, and genuinely enjoy helping people, you might be exactly who we're looking for. This position is union represented, meaning you'll have the backing and support of fellow crew members every step of the way.
You’ll Be Doing Day to Day
- Keeping safety front and center—fully understanding and following every regulation, and making sure all onboard equipment is ready and working.
- Welcoming each passenger with a genuine greeting, helping them find their seat, stowing baggage, and noticing who might need a little extra assistance.
- Walking guests through safety procedures and equipment demonstrations in a way that's clear, reassuring, and easy to follow.
- Preparing and serving meals and beverages with a smile, even on early mornings or red‑eye flights.
- Using a mobile device to process onboard sales for meals, snacks, movies, and other amenities.
- Handling unexpected situations with poise—whether it's a nervous flyer, a medical concern, or a schedule change.
- Answering questions about the flight itself and sharing helpful destination tips for travelers exploring new cities.
- Stepping in wherever you're needed, because teamwork makes the cabin run smoothly.

- Strong English communication skills (both spoken and written).
- Two or more years of experience in customer service or community‑facing roles—think retail, restaurants, hospitality, teaching, volunteering, or healthcare.
- An uncompromising commitment to keeping people safe.
- A body size that fits within aircraft dimensions, including the jump seat, harness, aisle, and emergency exits without modification.
- Willingness to follow our grooming, uniform, and appearance standards (more on tattoos below).
- The physical ability to perform all flight attendant duties, including lifting, reaching, and moving through the cabin.
- Basic comfort with technology like tablets or mobile devices.
- Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A genuine love for travel and the ability to be away from home frequently.
- Adaptability—you stay effective and composed under pressure.
- Ability to attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, Oregon.
