The Maintenance Controller is a subject matter expert inmaintenanceoperationsat

Horizon Air.

As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment to make decisions incompliance with all company, FAA,and government safety rules and regulations,andisresponsible for monitoring and overseeing all ongoing unscheduledaircraftmaintenance activity.

• Provide leadership and direction for the maintenance operation to ensure high standards of performance are maintained in the areas of safety, compliance, quality and cost.
• Provide technical assistance and support to company flight crews experiencing mechanical irregularities on company aircraft.
• Immediately notify the Maintenance Operations Manager (MOM) upon discovery of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) non-compliance.
• Coordinateaircraftferry authorization when necessary, assuring all ferry operations are conducted in accordance with current existing company policies and procedures.
• Provide accurate Estimated Time  for Return (ETR) andadvisetimes for all scheduled and unscheduled out of serviceaircraftthrough close coordination with maintenance personnel.
• Authorize the use of Minimum Equipment List (MEL), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), and Nonessential Equipment and Furnishings (NEF) list deferrals.
• Notifythe Maintenance Operations Manager or Director of Maintenance Controlregardingabnormal situations such asaircraftincidentsor irregular flight operations due to mechanical malfunction.

Required

• 4years ofaircraftmaintenancetechnicianexperience.
• Must hold a validaircraftmechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings.
• Meet the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR 65.83 (i.e., 6 months experience in the last 24 months).
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and detailed instructions and other technical data.
• Ability to clearly communicate and instruct others.
• Ability to collaborate and successfully perform as a member of a high-functioning team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to workshiftworkincluding nights,weekends,and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimumageof
  18.
• Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S.

Preferred

• Experience with Embraer E175 or similaraircrafttype.
• Experience with 121operator(commercial airline) highly preferred.

$108,200-$150,100 / year

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
