Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Accountant/Billing Specialist to work with our Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience working with billing in government contracting or consulting. This individual will work independently performing assigned financial and accounting functions including project/budget setup, client invoicing, project cost and revenue analysis, and support to management.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms, listing items sold and services performed, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of performance
  • Project set up, oversight, and close out in Oracle
  • Prepare accurate project cost, revenue, unbilled/unearned reconciliations, and analysis
  • Provide ad‑hoc reports for internal and external customers as required
  • Assist with and attend quarterly project reviews via remote teams meeting
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project billing and/or contract accounting experience
  • Associate degree/Certificate in Accounting Principles
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required (local and interstate travel required)
  • Must be able to pass a background screen
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in consulting and/or DoD/contracting in a billing/accounting capacity
Physical Requirements
  • Remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer
Additional Information
  • This is a full-time employment opportunity
  • Work schedule required to work is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • The pay range for this position is between $70,000 to $75,000 annually. However, the pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal parity.
