Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and streamlining accounts payable processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a detail-oriented approach to managing high volumes of invoices and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Handle the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice coding, data entry, and approval workflows for both project and overhead expenses.

- Process and manage a high volume of invoices, averaging 350+ per week.

- Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies or claims related to invoices.

- Maintain accurate AP ledger records and reconcile related general ledger accounts promptly.

- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, including quantity and pricing discrepancies.

- Administer corporate credit card processes, including transaction reconciliation and reporting.

- Manage employee expense reporting, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and timely reimbursements.

- Support month-end closing activities and ensure all accounts payable transactions are appropriately recorded.

- Prepare and submit 1099 forms in compliance with tax regulations.

- Perform additional accounting tasks and provide support as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable management, including full-cycle AP processes.

- Strong skills in coding invoices and handling high volumes of data entry.

- Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve vendor or invoice discrepancies effectively.

- Familiarity with corporate credit card administration and employee expense reporting.

- Knowledge of preparing and filing 1099 forms.

- Proficiency with accounting software and systems, such as Acumatica and Aspire.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
