Staff Accountant (#26-0537) Compensation Range

$35.00 - 43.00 per hour

Onsite Status

This is a Hybrid role and consists of a combination of WFH and in‑person work.

Job Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant works closely with other members of the Finance Department to assist in the preparation of the month‑end close process and in producing high‑quality financial statements.

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the business processes and accounting functions of the company
  • Review billing, labor and accounts payable data in the general ledger
  • Prepare journal entries, including monthly accruals, site allocations, etc.
  • Resolve any problems and correct errors
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations
  • Prepare various management accounting reports as needed (including complete financial statements) for monitoring of operating trends, margin analysis, etc.
  • Prepare worksheets and other analysis for annual audits
  • Work with other departments on accounting‑related projects and issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting processes
  • Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
  • 0 – 2 years of relevant work experience
  • GAAP knowledge preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines/work under pressure
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven, prefers to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills; team player with the ability to work well with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
