Job Overview
A large company in the downtown Seattle, WA area is partnering with LHH to identify a temporary to hire Senior Accountant. The team is looking for some immediate help in the department and hoping that this person will be a good long-term fit as well. You must have a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least five years of progressive accounting experience.
This position is fully in office in Seattle.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Process month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining proper documentation
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams
$45.00 to $48.00 per hour
