Audit Senior (Non-profit) Seattle, WA Full-Time

Salary: $80-120k DOE

Location:

Preferably Seattle, but open to anywhere in WA

Description:

We are a full-service certified public accounting firm focusing 100% on the not-for-profit community. We are looking for a Senior Audit Manager to join our management team.

As a member of our Audit Department, you will be assigned to engagements that will provide opportunities for you to enhance your own professional, technical and interpersonal skills. You will participate in department-wide decision-making and direct client service. You will have the opportunity to help grow the firm and your own professional network by joining firm leaders and other team members at presentations, conferences and other continuing education events.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagements from start to finish, including planning, supervising and completing the engagement while managing client deadlines, monitoring performance against budget, and communicating engagement status and concerns with the engagement manager and partner.
  • As the in-charge, you will develop and maintain a relationship with the clients which continues beyond audit weeks.
  • You will also supervise audit associates assigned to your engagement team, including performing the detailed review of associates work.
  • You will gain a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted governmental auditing standards.
  • You will have opportunities to assist with business development, assisting with proposals, networking, public presentations and recruiting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar
  • 3+ years of recent auditing experience with a public accounting firm
  • CPA or actively pursuing your CPA license
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, including the risk assessment process
  • Demonstrated understanding of nonprofit GAAP
  • Experience performing audits under the Uniform Guidance
