Overview
The role leads the corporate accounting function, overseeing the monthly close process, financial reporting, and the maintenance of a robust internal control environment. This position ensures all financial practices align with US GAAP, SOX 404 compliance, and SEC reporting guidelines. Operating within a fast‑paced, high‑growth technology environment, the position collaborates closely with cross‑functional partners in finance, tax, and engineering to streamline accounting workflows and scale financial systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and disclosures for SEC filings.
- Partner with external auditors to coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews, managing the timely delivery of PBC schedules and technical accounting inquiries.
- Collaborate with the IT and finance systems teams to optimize ERP workflows (Net Suite) and automate manual accounting processes.
- Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions, including stock‑based compensation, capitalized software, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate accounting experience at a technology company.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting standards.
- Hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems, specifically Net Suite, and financial consolidation tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience building and maintaining complex financial models and schedules.
- Bonus:
Experience with automated billing platforms (Zuora, Stripe) and system migration projects.
