Junior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and maintain balance sheet schedules
• Assist with revenue process and analyze general ledger account balances
• Research and post account corrections in accordance with GAAP
• Assist the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Handle tax payments and returns
• Recommend and help develop workflow improvements
• Document processes for SOX compliance
• Support internal and external audits
• Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-2 years professional Accounting experience
• Experience with Accounting software, such as Intacct
• Must be able to work cross-functionally with strong written and verbal communications skills
• Organization, attention to detail, and communication are critical to the success of this role
• Excellent demonstrable time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to continually learn and utilize a variety of information systems and software
