Job Description:
City University of Seattle is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Business Office team.
In this role, you'll help ensure the accuracy of student accounts, support timely billing and payment processing, and provide exceptional service to our students and university community. You'll collaborate across departments to resolve account issues, reconcile financial records, and contribute to a positive student experience from enrollment through graduation.
What You'll Do:
* Maintain and reconcile student accounts receivable.
* Process billing and payments while ensuring accurate financial records.
* Respond to student account inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and timely service.
* Partner with Admissions, the Registrar, Student Financial Services, and other departments to resolve account issues.
* Assist with account reconciliation, auditing, and other business office functions.
Requirements:
What We're Looking For:
* Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of two years of accounting, accounts receivable, or related experience.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with People Soft and higher education student accounting is a plus.

* This is a hybrid position. Two days per week onsite, or as directed by the supervisor.
Salary information:
$23-25/hour
