Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Audit Manager to serve as a trusted business advisor, delivering industry‑focused audit and assurance services to middle‑market clients. The role involves managing engagement teams, mentoring staff, and building client relationships while contributing to firm growth.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
- Implement appropriate testing to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
- Provide valuable financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing and information gathered.
- Deliver business insight through thoughtful review, analysis, and discussion.
- Assist with engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Network and build strong relationships within the firm and externally with clients and the community.
- Invest in professional development individually and through firm‑wide learning programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members following the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; master’s or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- 5+ years of financial statement audit experience in a professional services firm.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise, deliver exceptional client service, and demonstrate ethical commitment.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Salary range: $116,250 to $159,640, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
