Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a highly regarded law firm that is seeking to hire a Client Account Manager. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to join a Finance Team in Seattle. This hybrid role serves as a strategic partner to attorneys, business professionals, and clients by overseeing all aspects of client financial management, including billing, collections, client accounting, and financial operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional client service capabilities, and a deep understanding of law firm or professional services accounting practices. Experience with Aderant is required, and familiarity with Bill Blast is highly preferred.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary financial liaison for assigned attorneys, practice groups, and clients.
- Manage the complete billing lifecycle, including review, preparation, processing, and distribution of client invoices.
- Partner with attorneys and clients to resolve billing inquiries, payment disputes, and account discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively drive collections efforts to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding balances.
- Analyze client financial activity and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the implementation and compliance of outside counsel guidelines, billing arrangements, and client-specific requirements.
- Review and maintain client matter setup, billing instructions, rates, and engagement terms within financial systems.
- Prepare and present financial reports related to billing, collections, realization, WIP, and accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Management, and Practice Group leadership to support financial objectives.
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, accounting standards, and client service expectations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial operations, reporting, and client service delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, client accounting, collections, revenue management, or financial operations.
- Prior experience within a law firm or professional service environment.
- Must have Aderant and Bill Blast experience.
