My client, one of the most recognized fintech companies in the Pacific Northwest, is looking to hire a Controller. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct access to the CFO and a clear runway to grow into a more strategic seat over time. This is not a maintenance role. You will own the full accounting function today and over time shift your focus toward process optimization, team development, and helping build out an FP&A function from the ground up. • Own the month-end close process and hold the team to a clean, consistent cadence
• Drive revenue recognition accuracy across subscription and recurring revenue streams in compliance with ASC 606
• Partner with customer facing teams on billing workflows, revenue tracking, and data accuracy
• Build and develop the accounting team, promoting leaders from within as the function scales
• Review and improve the current accounting system, with a future ERP implementation on the horizon
• Manage banking relationships and support treasury operations
• Lead tax strategy review in partnership with external advisors
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation across accounting workflows
• Lay the groundwork for a future FP&A function by building clean data infrastructure and cross functional alignment

• CPA required, with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience and at least 3 years leading an accounting team
• Deep hands-on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition in a subscription or recurring revenue business model
• Background in fintech with a solid understanding of the accounting complexity that comes with scale

• Experience leading or supporting an ERP implementation or system migration
• Exposure to FP&A partnership, budgeting, or forecasting in addition to core accounting oversight
• Big 4 or regional public accounting roots with audit or technical accounting experience
