F5, Inc. is seeking an experienced and technically capable Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Seattle, WA. This role will primarily manage fixed asset accounting, lease accounting under ASC 842, internal-use software capitalization under ASC 350-40, and cloud computing arrangement implementation cost accounting under ASC 350-40 (as amended by ASU 2018-15). The role is highly cross‑functional, partnering closely with Procurement, IT, Legal, Real Estate/Facilities, FP&A, Financial Reporting, A/P, and Tax to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of our long‑lived asset and lease portfolios.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on technical accounting experience in the above domains, ideally proficient in Oracle EBS (including the Oracle Fixed Assets module), Lease Query or similar lease accounting software tool, and Coupa. A demonstrated interest in process automation and the application of AI tools to improve accounting workflows is imperative. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with the desire to contribute in a high‑performing, collaborative environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively partner across teams and levels of the organization.

Accounting & Compliance Accounting:
Oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets and lease accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and F5 policies. Manage accounting processes for internal-use software and cloud computing arrangements (CCA), ensuring accurate cost evaluations, capitalization, amortization, and related disclosures. Partner with Procurement, IT, FP&A, and other departments to evaluate expenditure requests, determine proper accounting treatment, and document supporting conclusions.
