We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant
- Intercompany for our vibrant and innovative engineering firm. This role is integral to our finance team, ensuring the smooth running of our intercompany accounting processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of intercompany accounting, including billing, settlements, eliminations, and reconciliations. They will also assist with audit requests and play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company.

As a Permanent Senior Accountant
- Intercompany, you will:

• 1. Manage all intercompany accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• 2. Oversee the billing, settlements, and eliminations of intercompany transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• 3. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end intercompany reconciliations, preparing detailed reports for management.
• 4. Assist with audit requests, providing necessary documentation and information to auditors in a timely manner.
• 5. Collaborate with other departments to streamline intercompany processes and improve efficiency.
• 6. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary changes in our intercompany accounting practices.
• 7. Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in intercompany accounting, preferably in the engineering industry.
• 3. Solid understanding of intercompany accounting processes, including billing, settlements, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• 4. Experience assisting with audit requests, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex financial data.
• 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• 8. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) is considered an asset.
