Senior Accountant
Location: Seattle, WA
Salary: $105,000-$130,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with nonprofit GAAP standards.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting.
- Oversee accounting and compliance activities related to federal, state, and private grants.
- Coordinate annual financial audits, Single Audit activities, and regulatory filings.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities while supporting strong internal controls.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a nonprofit environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger management.
- Experience supporting audits and grant accounting, preferably including federal grant compliance and Single Audit requirements.
