Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Seattle, Washington on a Contract basis. This position will help maintain accurate financial records, support billing and receivables activity, and keep daily accounting operations organized. The ideal candidate brings strong Quick Books expertise, sound bookkeeping judgment, and a practical approach to improving financial workflows.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records in Quick Books and ensure transactions are entered and categorized properly.

- Prepare and issue invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with follow-up activities related to accounts receivable.

- Process billing tasks using Timeslips and help keep client and matter-related billing records up to date.

- Support cash-basis accounting activities, including bookkeeping tied to partnership-related financial records.

- Track business expenses and assist with company card administration, including reconciliation and documentation of charges.

- Complete bank and account reconciliations regularly to confirm the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.

- Collaborate with leadership to review current accounting practices and recommend practical improvements to financial organization.

- Provide broader bookkeeping and administrative support as needed to help maintain efficient finance operations. Requirements - Experience in bookkeeping with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records.

- Proficiency with Quick Books in an accounting or business environment.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing support activities.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies in account activity.

- Familiarity with cash-basis accounting principles and general ledger accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and organization.

- Experience with expense reporting or corporate card platforms such as Ramp or Center Card is preferred.
