The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full-time Paralegal 2 in the Regional Services Division. This position may be located in or around one of the seven RSD offices (Bellingham, Everett, Kennewick, Port Angeles, Vancouver, Wenatchee, or Yakima, Washington) and is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).

Paralegal 2 (Range 55) salary range: $61,644 – $82,872 The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate’s job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The following stipends may apply based on position requirements:

    :
    Effective July 1, 2025, Paralegal 2s assigned to work within King County receive Group C Assignment Pay in addition to their base pay. The Group C pay percentage received at this classification is a limited premium and applies at the Paralegal 2 classification.
    • King County Paralegal 2s – 5% Group C Assignment Pay
  • Incumbents assigned to our Seattle office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.
  • Incumbents assigned to a position designated as requiring dual language skills will receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.

About the Regional Services Division

The Regional Services Division (RSD) is one of the largest divisions in the agency and is comprised of seven sections located throughout the state of Washington. Sections are located in Bellingham, Everett, Kennewick, Port Angeles, Vancouver, Wenatchee, and Yakima. RSD also provides opportunities for telework in a hybrid work environment, with many staff also utilizing a flex schedule. The division represents the Department of Children, Youth and Families, the Department of Labor and Industries, Department of Social and Health Services, the Employment Security Department, the Department of Licensing, Community Colleges, K‑12 institutions, and Educational Service Districts.

RSD Sections provide an opportunity to work in a small to mid‑sized office, with the support and resources of the larger agency.

Duties and Essential Functions of a Paralegal 2

This position is responsible for timely identifying, reviewing and processing public records for the Regional Services Division (RSD). This includes, but is not limited to, developing a tracking system for responses, coordinating responses to records requests, reviewing electronic databases across the seven RSD offices for responsive records, and coordinating with division and agency staff on responses. The position will also maintain email boxes for former RSD staff and represent RSD at quarterly records meetings.
