Position OverviewThe Front Desk Receptionist position is a key operational role focused on ensuring the school runs safely, smoothly, and in a welcoming manner. Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the receptionist is the initial point of contact for families, staff, and visitors on campus. This is a campus-wide role serving as the primary receptionist for a designated home building and working in coordination with the front office team at the adjacent building.
The schedule is eight hours per day with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Specific schedule is provided by the manager.
- Front Desk Management
- Provide warm and professional customer service to families, staff, and community members at the Front Desk, including greeting visitors, assisting families, answering phones, taking messages, and routing calls.
- Lead student check-in/check-out processes, confirming that individuals who pick up students are authorized to do so.
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures, verify visitor identity, and control building access.
- Coordinate the receipt of all deliveries, mail, and packages.
- Deliver materials, supplies, meals, and messages to classrooms as needed.
- General Administrative Support
- Help prepare family-facing materials, packets, forms, and communications.
- Organize, distribute, and restock classroom, office, and student supplies.
- Maintain storage areas, supply closets, and shared spaces in a clean, organized manner.
- Support posting and maintaining signage, forms, emergency information, and operational materials.
- Own daily student attendance tracking and SIS data entry, including logging tardies, early dismissals, answering emails, and family outreach for absences.
- Assist in collecting family payments via phone and email to ensure timely account reconciliation.
- General Operations Support
- Complete daily operational readiness checks.
- Report facilities, safety, or operational concerns promptly.
- Fulfill administrative tasks related to the National School Lunch Program.
- Maintain AOM certification, Epinephrine Administration certification, and CPR certification.
- Serve as part of the building's emergency response team.
- Collaborate with the adjacent campus to mirror operations where needed.
- Maintain an organized Lost and Found area for easy retrieval by families and students.

- Perform other related duties as necessary to support team goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of work experience in school operations, administration, customer service, office support, or related field
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to providing excellent service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Basic technology skills, including email, Google Workspace, and data entry
- Ability to move throughout the building, lift and carry materials, and support daily operations
- Experience in a school, early childhood setting, or family-facing environment
- Experience supporting front office operations and/or student services
- Familiarity with school operations, safety procedures, and student support routines
