Administrator III - Operations Manager for Tuberculosis Program
Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) is hiring an Administrator III to serve as the Operations Manager for the Tuberculosis (TB) Program. This role supports a multidisciplinary team dedicated to preventing, treating, and eliminating TB in our community. The Administrator III (Operations Manager) provides high level operational, financial, and administrative leadership for the TB Program and Clinic. This position works closely with the TB Medical Officer and Program Manager to ensure effective daily operations, strong administrative systems, and compliance with County, state, and federal requirements.
The role also supervises the Administrative Support Section and serves as backup to the Program Manager when needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on improving program operations, supporting staff, and ensuring operational excellence in a mission driven public health environment. You'll be part of a team working to eliminate a serious infectious disease while improving access to care for vulnerable communities.
The Tuberculosis Program is one of seven programs in the Prevention Division and is responsible for medical case management and treatment of all individuals diagnosed with TB disease in King County. In addition to case management, contact investigations, TB screening of populations at high risk for TB infection and disease, community education and partnerships. Along with all of these activities comes a heavy administrative burden, including, but not limited to managing contracts, billing, invoicing, scheduling, customer service and purchasing.
This position is an independent and highly functioning position that supports a fast-paced, dynamic program that serves as the subject matter experts of treating TB in all of King County. This unique program provides many psychosocial support needs that are not offered by other healthcare settings, which is fulfilling to be a part of. In this role, they oversee a team of 3 staff, two Administrative Specialist IIs and one Administrative Specialist III.
They also oversee all administrative and financial operations of the program that are integral to program operations and also participate in budget planning. Additionally, this position is the back-up to the Health Services Administrator I and is the acting lead of the program for administrative functions in their absence. Also, while this role is primarily administrative in nature, the position has direct access to learning more about the clinical and public health activities that occur within a TB Program should that be of interest.
The position is part of a multidisciplinary leadership team and work alongside over 40 staff that are really passionate about their work, which is really motivating and inspiring.

The Prevention team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is Harborview Medical Center, 325 9th Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
