The Patient Financial and Scheduling Specialist is a member of a
 multi-disciplinary team that coordinates the financial and scheduling of
 patients seeking care for the management of their pain.  Responsible for
 appointment and surgical scheduling, insurance authorization. Selects and
 reserves specific equipment for the case scheduled, maintains positive and
 professional customer relations and seeks client feedback.  Works
 collaboratively with the Pre-Admission Center clerical staff to schedule
 pre-admission appointments.  Functions as a collaborative and participative
 member of an interdisciplinary team, consistent with the mission, vision and
 values of the Pain and Headache Center and Swedish Medical Center.

Required Qualifications:

* 1 year of patient registration, financial counseling or insurance company
    experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's degree in business or accounting
  
* 2 years of Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office and the
    Excel programs.
  
* 2 years of experience in a medical inpatient or outpatient admitting setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this
 position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this
 position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other
 applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional
 compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials,
 standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus
 opportunities.
