Overview
The Patient Financial and Scheduling Specialist is a member of a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the financial and scheduling of patients seeking care for the management of their pain. Responsibilities include appointment and surgical scheduling, insurance authorization, selecting and reserving equipment for scheduled cases, maintaining professional customer relations and seeking client feedback, working collaboratively with Pre‑Admission Center clerical staff to schedule pre‑admission appointments, and functioning as a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Pain and Headache Center and Swedish Medical Center.

- Maintaining positive and professional customer relations and seeking client feedback
- Scheduling pre‑admission appointments with Pre‑Admission Center staff
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care
- Required:
1 year of patient registration, financial counseling, or insurance company experience.
- Preferred:
Associate's degree in business or accounting. - Preferred: 2 years of intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical inpatient or outpatient admitting setting.
Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. The pay range is $29.56 - $44.46.
