Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a lead Executive Assistant (EA) to provide dedicated, high-level administrative and strategic support to the Director of Global Communications, reporting to the SVP of Communications and Corporate Responsibility. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands with a bias for action. The EA serves as the gatekeeper between the Director and internal/external stakeholders, interacting with business and technology leaders, support teams, and EAs at senior levels.

Seattle, WA (United States). Office Requirement:
Five (5) days per week in office.
- Independently own and optimize a complex executive calendar across multiple time zones; prioritize, protect focus time, and anticipate scheduling needs based on business cadence and leadership priorities.
- Serve as a trusted proxy; triage and respond to requests, manage sensitive communications with discretion, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and detailed itineraries; manage expense reconciliation and tracking in compliance with Amazon policies.
- Own recurring operational mechanisms (e.g., team meetings, business reviews, org-wide communications) end-to-end; identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements, leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
- Organize and manage meetings, off-sites, reviews, and large-scale events, including team-building activities, annual planning, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the team program manager to drive cross-organizational projects, resolve escalations, and balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
- Maintain workspace planning including space and seating assignments; proactively identify gaps and drive solutions benefiting the broader team.
- Mentor junior EAs through onboarding support, hands-on coaching, creating training resources and SOPs, and identifying stretch opportunities to foster growth.
- 5+ years of executive assistant experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with executive-level calendar management
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience working with large global teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
