Summary:
Vanmovers Logistics Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales to spearhead our sales strategy and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the logistics industry, a proven track record in sales leadership, and a passion for building high-performing teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring the sales team consistently exceeds targets.
- Sales Strategy & Growth:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Vanmovers business objectives, with a focus on expanding our market share and acquiring new clients in the logistics sector. - Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Account Managers, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and drive results. - Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their logistics needs are met with the highest level of service. - Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics market, including potential partnerships, acquisitions, or strategic alliances that drive growth. - Sales Operations & Performance Management:
Oversee the sales process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and account management. - Monitor sales performance metrics (e.g., booked sales, revenue growth, customer acquisition) and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and optimize the client experience.
- Education:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master s degree preferred. - Experience:
5-7 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the logistics industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. - Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing sales teams
- Deep understanding of logistics operations, trends, and challenges
- Excellent negotiation and client relationship management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Strategic thinker with a focus on data-driven decision-making
