Overview

The Data Integrity Advisor is a strategic member of the Data Advocacy team, dedicated to advancing the use of data to improve outcomes for children and families. This role bridges the gap between complex data analysis and action-oriented decision-making. This role engages with internal and external partners – including child welfare leaders, Tribal leaders, legislators, individuals with lived experience – to support Data Advocacy’s core strategies:
create analysis, presentations and visualizations for communicating and monitoring progress on key outcomes;
collaborate with a broad range of thought partners on the strategic use of data to drive excellence;
contribute to the development and evolution of the infrastructure to equitably and effectively use, store, and share data;
connect child welfare data leaders across the country to dialogue about key analytical issues and surface new insights; and champion the development of data fluency and critical thinking to facilitate outcome-focused decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Analysis: Lead analytical conversations with state, county, and Tribal leaders. Translate trends and research into actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making. (25%)
  • Partnership & Support: Collaborate with Systems Improvement teams and public agencies to ensure the delivery of accurate, measurable outcome data for youth and families involved with the child welfare system. (25%)
  • Visualization & Innovation: Design innovative dashboards and storytelling products. Implement advanced visualization techniques to ensure data is impactful and accessible to diverse audiences. (25%)
  • Capacity Building: Develop and deliver training to enhance the data literacy of internal staff and external partners. Consult on the use of data for continuous quality improvement and strategic decision-making. (20%)
  • Relationship management: Foster effective working relationships across Casey, public child welfare systems, universities, and community agency partners. (5%)
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Master’s Degree in social sciences, social work, public health, quantitative sciences, or related field required, plus 5 years practical, applied experience in a child welfare policy, practice, or research setting.
  • Core competencies:
    • Technical proficiency:
      Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of or familiarity with Tableau. Demonstrated ability to learn other pertinent software programs as required.
    • Analytical skills:
      Intermediate knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis with the ability to translate complex findings into practical implications.
    • Data storytelling:
      Proven ability to create graphical displays of data and write reports tailored for diverse audiences, including practitioners and legislators.
    • Communication:
      Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lead high-level technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working conditions & requirements:
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, stressful work environment while balancing the responsibilities and stressors inherent in the role.
    • Ability to work onsite full-time to meet the collaborative responsibilities that are essential for position. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
    • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
    • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgement in the handling and sharing of that information.
    • Local travel as well as occasional out of town travel may be required. Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required.

The typical hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $99,875 to $117,500. The full salary range for the role is $99,875 to $135,125.…
