Locationand Details
Location: Seattle, Washington (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days/week)
Duration: 6-month contract
Hourly Compensation: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities- Coordinate sourcing for both direct and indirect procurements, including requisitions, RFx/RFX processes, approvals, and supplier contracting.
- Own BOM-to-RFx execution: receive Bills of Materials (BOMs), validate inputs, clarify requirements with engineering, and translate BOM line items into clear, complete RFx packages for suppliers.
- Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs to support sourcing strategies for custom mechanical and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware.
- Forecast demand, evaluate supplier capacity, and manage supply chain activities, including high-risk components, delivery performance, and material flow adjustments.
- Develop and maintain a preferred supplier network to minimize cost, lead time, and risk; manage outsourced fabrication projects and vendor performance.
- Negotiate effectively to maximize value, cost savings, and supply assurance while ensuring suppliers meet contractual obligations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and supply chain partners to align technical requirements, qualification needs, and schedules.
- Create sourcing strategies, contribute to new processes and lightweight systems, and apply sound business judgment to solve complex procurement challenges, especially in environments where tooling and software are still evolving.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of RFx/RFX processes, BOM management, demand planning, and lead-time analysis.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams and interpreting technical requirements.
- Proven track record of results in procurement or supply chain (e.g., cost savings, lead-time reduction, supplier performance improvements).
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and effective under pressure in fast-changing environments.
- Excellent project management and communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and influence both vendor and internal decisions.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or building procurement processes from the ground up.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP concepts (BOMs, work orders, requisitions), even in partially implemented systems.
- Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, coatings, and common fabrication processes.
- APICS or Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous environments and rapidly self-learn new tools and techniques.
