What will you be doing?
Client Delivery:
- Support a program management office (PMO) for utility clients undertaking complex, transformational programs, including resolution of risks and issues, identification of interdependencies, execution of detailed reporting, support of schedule and critical path activities, and effective communication and collaboration across the West Monroe and client team.
- Support the Project Managers in developing project plans, project budgets, and instituting governance structures on small, medium, and large engagements.
- Gather business process and technical requirements through workshops with client personnel to develop business process/technical documentation deliverables including detailed requirements, process maps, and key performance indicators for various utility clients.
- Contribute to software/solution implementation, systems integration, and business consultant teams in a productive and value‑adding fashion.
- Support strategic analysis and business case modeling efforts as a business analyst.
- Participate in and contribute to the Energy & Utilities practice (methodologies, service offerings, training and team development, etc.), and drive best practice behaviors across the organization.
We need someone who can bring the following to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems or Business strongly preferred (Master’s Degree also preferred).
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of professional experience either in the utilities industry or with a professional services consulting firm.
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience working directly on utility projects.
- Interest (or understanding) of the key vendors/systems within marketplace; AMI system providers, MDM vendors, customer portal offerings and data analytics packages.
- Interest in project management and consulting; including creation and presentation of business solutions.
- Skilled in MS Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and others.
- Strong writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the year annually.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401(k) plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
