As the Global Legal Operations Director, you will lead the strategy, systems, and processes that enable a world‑class global Legal function for a complex, multinational retail and manufacturing enterprise. You will partner closely with the Chief Legal Officer and senior executives to build a scalable, data‑driven, technology‑enabled operating model that strengthens risk governance, drives cost transparency, enhances efficiency, and elevates Legal as a strategic business partner across owned, licensed, and joint‑venture markets.

- Lead Global Legal Operating Model & Strategy:
Design, implement, and continuously evolve a modern, scalable legal operating model aligned with enterprise strategy, global market structures, and the needs of a publicly traded company. - Oversee Legal Spend & Outside Counsel Management:
Own budgeting, forecasting, spend controls, and outside‑counsel strategy—including panel selection, performance management, and value‑based fee arrangements. - Drive Legal Technology, Data, & Analytics:
Select and optimize legal technology platforms, build dashboards and insights on risk and performance, and ensure integration with enterprise systems to enable a data‑driven Legal function. - Build Process Excellence & Global Standardization:
Lead process mapping, simplification, and standardization across regions; develop playbooks and best‑practice workflows; and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Legal organization.
- 12+ years of progressive legal operations, consulting, or in‑house legal leadership experience; demonstrated success supporting global, publicly traded environments.
- Deep expertise in legal technology, data analytics, and process design, including matter management, e‑billing, CLM, workflow automation, and integrating legal systems with enterprise platforms.
- Proven ability to manage complex legal spend and outside counsel ecosystems, including budgeting, forecasting, cost governance, and driving value‑based engagements.
- Strong leadership, change‑management, and cross‑enterprise collaboration skills, with the executive presence and business acumen to influence senior stakeholders and drive transformation across global teams.
