Job Description Day to Day

  • Develop and implement efficient, cost-effective crew rotation schedules for assigned disciplines to ensure qualified and competent crew coverage.
  • Manage rolling schedules (6–12 months) for international crew across multiple vessels, considering hundreds of rotations annually and planning replacements.
  • Coordinate logistics such as flights, visas, and medical certifications while handling unexpected changes (e.g., illness, drop-offs).
  • Collaborate with internal partners, international agencies, and onboard leadership to resolve scheduling challenges.
  • Analyze availability data and produce reports using Excel and Power BI.
  • Support the Planning Department with competing priorities and projects, exercising authority to make scheduling decisions.

Skills and Requirements Must Haves
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, or scheduling (crew rotations, workforce planning, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, forward-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, sensitive, and confidential issues and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with all levels of employees, management, and customers.
  • Proficiency in computer business applications, including Word, Excel (advanced reporting), and database tools.
  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures with patience and adaptability.
Application system knowledge Pluses
  • Experience in the travel or cruise industry.
  • Familiarity with technical operations or hospitality environments.
  • Knowledge of internal systems such as MAPS.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
