About the Team

The commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies. Tik Tok Shop US operation team aims to deliver high quality products together with a unique customer experience via Tik Tok, building the e‑commerce partnership for the Tiktok e‑commerce business in the US.

Responsibilities
  • Merchant Recruitment & Business Development
    • Identify and recruit high‑potential fashion sellers and brands
    • Conduct outbound outreach through industry research, Linked In, events, referrals, and networking
    • Attend industry events, seller meetings, and market visits when applicable
    • Build merchant pipelines and track conversion progress
  • Seller Growth & Live Commerce
    • Support newly onboarded sellers in launching live commerce programs
    • Work directly with merchants to identify growth opportunities
    • Analyze seller performance and recommend actions to improve live GMV
    • Help merchants connect with creators and affiliate partners
  • Fashion Trend & Market Research
    • Track emerging fashion trends, products, brands, and consumer behavior
    • Identify high‑potential categories and merchants for Tik Tok Shop
    • Develop seller growth playbooks and best practices
    • Build merchant performance dashboards and trackers
    • Support category‑wide live commerce initiatives and growth programs
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
    • Strong interest in Fashion, E‑commerce, Social Commerce, Live Commerce, or Creator Economy
    • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, partnerships, merchant operations, retail, influencer marketing, entrepreneurship, or community leadership
    • Comfortable with outbound outreach, relationship building, and working directly with merchants/business owners
    • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work in a fast‑paced and ambiguous environment
    • Results‑oriented and willing to take initiative beyond assigned tasks
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Preferred majors include Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Business Management, Retail Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Communications, Supply Chain / Merchandising
    • Open to other majors if candidates demonstrate strong business development, sales, or entrepreneurial experience
Job Information

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $23.75 - $23.75.

Benefits

Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
