About the RoleAs a Senior Associate on our Commerce Platform Growth Strategy & Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving our growth and success. As a direct owner of this segment, you will help us build and execute on our growth strategy across some of the largest and most strategic clients. This includes helping us launch and scale our partnerships, find product‑market fit, build strategic go‑to‑market strategies, and partner cross‑functionally to bring solutions forward.
We dream big and bring the newest products to market. On a typical day, you may work with team members to design experiments that improve quality and delivery operations, test the best new marketing strategies, address issues that enable our and our merchants' processes to run efficiently, or dive into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail and make sure we never stop growing.
The ideal candidate for this role is a self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership and create plans from scratch, and drive execution while obtaining cross‑functional buy‑in to achieve Door Dash Commerce Platform's strategic goals.
You will report into a Manager in our Commerce Platform Restaurants team in our Platform Products organization.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will- Build and own the business – Drive growth and adoption of some of our top priority projects
- Business development – Develop and foster deep relationships with top priority merchant partners to iterate and grow the business. Key merchant point of contact within the Strategy & Ops team
- Go-to‑market strategy – Build a strong understanding of product‑market fit, value proposition, pricing, and the competitive landscape, and help the team develop a go‑to‑market strategy based on these inputs. Grow a high‑potential offering within a high‑growth business.
- Improve the product – Guide operational improvements for our merchant partners by understanding their needs and working with internal partners to design solutions throughout the product experience. Steer the Commerce Platform product roadmap informed by quantitative analysis and qualitative merchant feedback
- Influence – Work cross‑functionally with our Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Support, Sales and Account Management teams to drive growth and scale.
- Experiment – Evaluate and test various revenue, cost and quality drivers.
- You have a Bachelor's degree or higher
- You have 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or operations; high‑growth/early‑stage startup or entrepreneurial experience is a big plus
- Your expert communication and interpersonal skills set you apart
- You are a strong analytical thinker who can provide actionable recommendations out of a complex, sometimes murky, dataset
- You have a bias toward action and are able to thrive in a fast‑paced, constantly changing work environment
- Your charisma allows you to excel at connecting with merchants and internal teams to promote products and drive adoption
- You crave responsibility and want to shape the vision and direction of the company
