Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for UKG Workforce Management timekeeping, attendance tracking, and scheduling across U.S. and Canadian operations, with eventual responsibility for labor forecasting and analytics.
  • Work closely with business operations, IT, HR, and external system vendors to support existing workforce, time and attendance, and scheduling systems, and to optimize solutions through process improvements, system enhancements, and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure that timekeeping and workforce scheduling systems comply with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws and regulations, as well as internal corporate governance requirements in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Monitor and validate the accurate capture of worked hours, attendance exceptions such as late arrivals, no-shows, early departures, and breaks, as well as PTO and leave usage and schedule adherence prior to payroll processing.
  • Identify system or process deficiencies related to workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, and labor balance monitoring, and recommend and implement improvements to workflow, controls, documentation, and automation.
  • Act as a liaison between payroll, HR, operations, and IT by gathering and documenting business requirements for time and attendance and scheduling processes, and translating them into clear technical specifications for system improvements and enhancements.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on time and attendance data, including absence trends, exception volumes, schedule adherence, and labor cost variances, and support the development of forecasted labor models, staffing recommendations, and scheduling strategies.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, finance, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of related experience in time and attendance, scheduling, workforce management, or an equivalent function.
  • Experience working within UKG and payroll systems, with strong understanding of how timekeeping and scheduling data impact payroll.
  • Previous experience in a large, complex, multi-jurisdiction enterprise environment spanning the U.S. and Canada.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting HCM, workforce management, time and attendance, or scheduling systems such as UKG Pro, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Central, ADP eTime, or similar platforms.
