Overview
Join us as a program manager on our Operations Intelligence team, where you’ll lead the development and execution of staffing and scheduling strategies that impact more than 210K partners across 11K+ North American company‑operated coffeehouses. You will own the direction and prioritization of features that improve our labor model so we have the right partners, at the right place, at the right time to best serve our customers.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of initiatives that enhance the partner and customer experience.
- Drive holistic strategies, orchestrate initiatives, and ensure successful delivery.
- Determine the approach for aligning multiple projects.
- Apply strategic thinking across a broad portfolio of initiatives.
- Lead stakeholders through development, sizing, timing, and deployment of labor model improvements.
- Understand how productivity, customer service, and operational tasks contribute to Starbucks’ largest operational expense.
- Manage interdependencies and optimize resource allocation across programs.
- Keep leadership informed to enable strategic prioritization and governance.
- Prioritize change plans with tools, expectations, and feedback loops.
- Define and document program requirements with clear, actionable briefs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver efficient, partner‑focused solutions.
- Establish clear goals, timelines, and success metrics.
- Incorporate feedback from store teams and field leaders into program execution.
- 8+ years driving strategic initiatives and operational execution in large, matrixed organizations.
- 8+ years turning data into actionable insights that drive business results.
- 8+ years leading complex, cross‑functional programs with measurable impact.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and owning outcomes from planning through execution.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect program goals to broader organizational strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster team effectiveness.
- MBA or equivalent degree preferred.

The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity. It is not typical to hire at the top of the range.
