Position: Manager Travel & Expense

Summary

The Manager, Travel & Expense leads Nordstrom’s corporate travel, meetings, and expense programs with a focus on supplier strategy, policy compliance, and traveler experience. This role owns end-to-end program management including the TMC, corporate card program, hotels, airlines, ground transportation, and expense tooling while partnering cross-functionally to drive savings and operational excellence. The position is hybrid based in downtown Seattle with regular stakeholder engagement and team leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the corporate travel and expense program, including relationships with the TMC, card providers, and key suppliers.
  • Develop and deliver category strategies and a 1–5 year sourcing roadmap for travel, meetings, and offsite spend.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers in partnership with sourcing and manage renewals and amendments.
  • Drive process improvements to simplify booking and expense workflows and improve service quality and compliance.
  • Monitor supplier and traveler KPIs, conduct spend analysis, and translate insights into cost savings and action plans.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for executive travel needs, policy interpretation, and supplier financial reconciliation.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate travel management, travel procurement, or meetings & events management.
  • 5+ years of supplier management and managing outside service providers.
  • Proven experience delivering travel category savings through sourcing, demand management, or policy compliance.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in travel and expense systems (e.g., Concur).
  • Demonstrated project management, stakeholder engagement, change management, and people management experience.
