Job Description Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work closely with a Senior Consultant to build the expertise needed to independently manage an assigned group of Defined Contribution Retirement Plans.
- Perform assigned project tasks independently, seeking guidance from a Senior Consultant when assuming new responsibilities.
- Consult with clients regarding all aspects of plan design.
- Oversee day‑to‑day administration, annual compliance testing, Form
5500 preparation, trust accounting, participant notices, and plan documents. - Maintain client relationships to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues.
- Prepare and review deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences.
- Knowledge of compliance testing, plan design, annual reporting, and completion of DOL and IRS forms.
- Ability to prioritize, work on multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and drive tasks to completion.
- Proficiency in standard office equipment and required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases.
- Knowledge of retirement plan administration and record‑keeping systems such as Relius, ASC retirement plan software, and/or FT William.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience fostering client relationships and strong customer service skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to research complex issues, evaluate potential solutions, and collaborate with a Senior Consultant to address client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, record‑keeping, employee benefits, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in payroll, human resources, accounting, or financial services will be considered.
- Client‑facing experience preferred.
- ASPPA credentials such as QKS, QKA, QKC, QPA, CPC, or NQPC preferred; willingness to pursue and earn ASPPA credentials upon hire is highly valued.
- Salary Range: $65,000.00–$75,000.00.
- Travel:
Less than 25%. - Workstyle:
