Overview

Amazon is looking for a driven, customer-focused, team-oriented, and analytical leader to join the Canada Fashion team. The Sr. Vendor Manager will be responsible for the total P&L of a category within Fashion, setting strategy to drive growth, building and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors, expanding selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and delivering a compelling customer experience. The role includes identifying brand and product opportunities, building direct relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor setup and new item processes, and collaborating with suppliers on selection, pricing, and promotional initiatives.

The right candidate stays informed on industry and competitive trends and can execute at both tactical and strategic levels to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. The Sr. Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator with  partners and vendors, as well as internal teams such as control buying, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities are essential. The Sr. Vendor Manager should be a capable leader, communicator, and problem-solver.

Responsibilities
  • Own the total P&L of a Fashion category and set strategic direction to drive growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors; build direct supplier relationships and negotiate contracts and terms.
  • Manage vendor setup and new item onboarding; collaborate with suppliers to build comprehensive selection.
  • Set pricing, develop collaborative marketing and promotions, and drive sales and margin improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape; execute both tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (control buying, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, retail systems) to achieve business goals.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of account management, project/program management, or buying experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Benefits & Compensation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
