Position: Part Time, Contract (3-6 months)
Rate: $25 - $31 per hour
About this roleOutdoor Research is looking for a Color Operations Assistant to support the seamless commercialization of technical materials into approved color. This role collaborates with Developers and Designers across categories and partners with Design, Raw Materials, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, and QA. Reports to the Apparel Design Manager.
What you will do- Track lab dip samples and approvals; follow up with vendors and internal teams as needed
- Enter and update product data in the PLM system (Centric); training will be provided
- Support communication between the design team, mills, and cross-functional partners
- Assist with general tracking, filing, and administrative tasks to keep the team running smoothly
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; accuracy matters in this role
- Ability to manage multiple tasks consistently without dropping the ball
- Clear, proactive communication, especially for follow-ups
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and quickly learning new software systems
- Self-starter who takes initiative and stays on top of responsibilities
- Interest in color, product, or the apparel/outdoor industry is a plus
- Hybrid working schedule, 3-4 days in our West Seattle office
