Product Manager, Seller Listing Risk - TikTok Shop

About the team E-commerce's Governance and Experience at Tik Tok is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy not only for our users, but also for sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. We are looking for an experienced technical product manager to drive seller and creator governance product strategies and solutions for Tik Tok Shopping in North America regions.

As a product manager on our E-commerce team, you will work with teams of engineers, data scientists, operations, product policies and various relevant internal teams to build safety product features and strategies. You will be working on governance and ecosystem features, technical strategies to improve Tik Tok shopping, as well methods to detect and address risky behaviors and actors in Tik Tok E-commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Develop metrics to measure success of product features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations.

- Independently design and implement product solutions to ensure listing safety and quality and provide smooth listing experience to sellers as well as ensure quality and authenticity of listings on the platform.

- Design listing checkpoints and velocities to proactively mitigate risks, and develop listing approval enhancements.

- Provide insights on product performance and customer behavior, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities and improvements, defining product requirements for new features and coordinating development efforts as the product owner.

- Work closely with modeling team to develop and implement strategies, define thresholds for precision, recall, overkill for model deployment; optimize products and features to increase automation, reduce error and manual review and moderation.

- Define and drive product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with cross-vertical and cross-functional teams.

- Manage prioritization and balance trade-offs among seller experience, user experience and creator experience within the e-commerce ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in product management in Consumer-Facing mobile or web Internet companies
- Broad technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of Machine Learning, statistical modeling, algorithms, OCR and ASR, etc
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and driving innovation on behalf of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to evaluate assumptions, make recommendations and decisions, and drive execution.

- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while balancing multiple responsibilities, scoping projects, evaluating priorities, and effectively working well within a team

Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of and passion for e-commerce and retail
- Knowledge of user generated content platforms and LIVE streaming is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders and vendors
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and audience
- Flexible and experienced in project management, can lead and operate multiple project streams confidently

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $176320 - $296020 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
