This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cisco Legal Operations team as we reimagine how we partner with law firms. As a Business Operations Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing Cisco's law firm engagement strategy. You will drive execution and accountability for initiatives that strengthen relationships, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable business value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead efforts to manage law firm relationships and performance, ensuring alignment with Cisco's goals for quality, value, and results.
- Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of law firm engagement frameworks, including roster management and e-billing.
- Collaborate with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders to drive high-quality outcomes through clear communication and data-driven decision-making.
- Provide operational oversight for day-to-day activities and project execution, including prioritization of initiatives, issue resolution, stakeholder updates, and adoption of new processes or tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Legal Operations, or a similar role within a legal or highly regulated environment.
- Experience with e-billing and legal spend management platforms (e.g., Litify or similar).
- Experience managing law firm or vendor relationships, including roster management, onboarding, engagement letter negotiations, and fee arrangements.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to track, report, and improve engagement outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional stakeholders by simplifying complex business or operational requirements into clear priorities, actionable plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience with e-billing implementations or process transformation — system migrations, workflow redesign, or efficiency initiatives.
- Experience supporting legal operations projects related to law firm engagement, panel management, or external spend optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
