Our clients rely on us to assess how developments in Washington affect industries and sub-industries.

We are seeking an experienced Health Care Policy Analyst to join our health care team. The analyst will evaluate complex legislative, regulatory, and policy developments, contribute to forward-looking theses, and translate policy analysis into clear conclusions.

  • Evaluate the probability, timing, magnitude, and durability of potential policy outcomes.
  • Identify policy-driven risks, opportunities, and market misperceptions relevant to investors.
  • Analyze proposed and final regulations, legislation, agency guidance, reimbursement policies, enforcement actions, court decisions, and other government initiatives.
  • Synthesize primary-source materials and other qualitative and quantitative information into clear, defensible conclusions.
Client Analysis & Communication
  • Produce concise, predictive, conclusion-oriented written research.
  • Identify policy questions and catalysts that are material to investment decisions.
  • Respond directly to investor questions with well-supported views.
  • Conduct bespoke policy research and due diligence for private equity and public equity clients.
  • Participate in and lead client calls, webinars, and briefings.
Team Contribution
  • Work closely with senior partners to help produce written products from day one.
  • Collaborate across overlapping health care policy and subsector issues.
  • Contribute to new research development and client relationships.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience analyzing U.S. health care regulation, legislation, and policy.

  • Proven ability to develop clear conclusions from complex and evolving policy issues.
  • Strong intellectual independence and comfort operating with significant autonomy in a remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop expertise in new and evolving issue areas.
  • Strong analytical judgment, including the ability to evaluate competing evidence, assess probabilities, and identify material developments.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with investors, conducting investment research or due diligence, or analyzing the financial implications of health care policy is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Starting base salary of $135-150k depending on qualifications with performance bonus opportunities.
