Accounting touches every business, but much of the software supporting the profession was built for another era. The company is creating a modern platform that brings together the general ledger, practice management, payroll, automation, and AI, giving accounting firms a dramatically better way to operate and scale.

Joining now means helping shape the product and company while the opportunity is still wide open, with meaningful ownership, growth, and upside.## The Opportunity Our client is hiring a highly technical Head of Product to lead product strategy, discovery, and execution across a complex and rapidly evolving SaaS platform.

The engineering organization includes multiple development teams working across numerous products, features, integrations, client requests, and technical initiatives. Strong technical leads drive architecture and development, including leads supporting offshore engineering teams. What the company needs now is a senior product leader who can create clarity across all of that work, connect Product, Engineering, QA, Support, Accounting Operations, and company leadership, and take ownership of what gets built and why.

You'll work directly with accounting firms to deeply understand how they operate, where their workflows break down, and what opportunities exist to fundamentally improve the way they work. This isn't just about gathering feature requests or responding to customer feedback. The company needs someone who can recognize problems customers may not know how to articulate, identify opportunities they haven't thought to ask for, and help shape a product vision that moves the industry forward.

You'll take a constant stream of customer feedback, feature requests, bugs, operational needs, technical considerations, and company priorities and turn them into clearly scoped and sequenced engineering work. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to understand complexity and tradeoffs, establish priorities, drive road mapping and planning, run standups and processes, surface blockers, and keep teams communicating and moving toward release.

Importantly, your ownership doesn't end when a feature ships. You'll be responsible for understanding whether what was built actually solved the intended problem, how customers are using it, and what should be learned or changed as a result.

The company has strong engineering leads responsible for technical architecture and engineering leadership. This role requires enough technical depth to collaborate credibly with those engineers, understand architecture and dependencies, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.

This is an early-stage company transforming an industry that remains highly manual. Problems won't always arrive neatly defined. Priorities will change, information will be incomplete, and there won't always be an established process to follow. The company needs someone energized by that environment who can bring structure to ambiguity, think strategically about where the product should go, and take ownership without waiting for someone else to define the path.##
