Job Overview
As a Project Engineer, you’ll support field and office operations by partnering with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure quality project delivery.
This role offers hands-on responsibility with a clear path for growth into future leadership. You’ll help manage daily coordination, documentation, budgeting, compliance, and communication from project start-up through closeout.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate project planning, integration, and completion of assigned scopes
- Prepare and manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material procurement
- Lead on-site engineering activities and maintain liaison with design teams and clients
- Attend project meetings and support owner meetings with project management
- Assist in preparing project status reports and closeout documentation
- Review design documents for compliance with engineering and contract requirements
- Monitor technical progress, testing, and resolution of design and construction issues
- Track and manage costs to ensure alignment with project budgets
- Promote and support site safety efforts through personal actions and team mentorship
You’re curious, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. You love solving problems, building relationships, and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or construction certificate program
- 3–5 years of relevant construction experience
- Solid understanding of construction processes, documentation, and safety standards
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with scheduling and project management tools
- Able to read and interpret plans, specs, and submittals
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and accountability for meeting deadlines
