Construction Manager

Overview

The Schuster Group is seeking a Construction Manager to lead internal development projects and third-party fee-based work from predevelopment through construction closeout. This role manages consultants, contractors, budgets, schedules, quality, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered with excellence.

• Manage projects through all phases: design, pre-construction, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors—including RFPs/RFQs, interviews, contract negotiations, and ongoing management.
• Lead design and pre-construction meetings; maintain budget and schedule targets.
• Oversee construction progress with regular site visits, quality checks, draw approvals, and change-order management.
• Maintain organized, accurate project documentation and drive smooth turnovers, punchlists, and warranty items.
• Identify issues early and propose practical solutions.
• Complete post-project reviews and recommend improvements to strengthen company processes.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients and partners.

• Experience managing development or construction projects (real estate, commercial, or mixed-use preferred).
• Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable coordinating many moving parts.
