About Innovative Home Renovations (IHR)

Innovative Home Renovations (IHR) is a design-build remodeling firm based in Northeast Seattle. We enable homeowners to transform this house into their home while feeling empowered, educated, and in control. Our highly skilled team delivers superior quality on a set schedule, for a fixed price, using a disciplined process and trusted trade partners.

The Role

The Site Superintendent is the on-site leader for the Build Stage of our remodeling projects. This is a bags-off role focused on leadership, coordination, and execution — not daily tool work. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Interior Designer to manage projects from start to finish, typically overseeing multiple projects at once depending on phase and complexity. You are responsible for jobsite organization, quality control, safety, schedule execution, and proactive problem‑solving, while maintaining clear communication between the field and office.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Project Manager to schedule, coordinate, and manage daily construction activities with IHR’s trusted trade partners and suppliers
  • Conduct daily jobsite walk‑throughs to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Maintain onsite quality control and code compliance, including oversight of subcontractor checklists
  • Manage jobsite documentation (Build Binder, permits, site plans, drawings/specs) to ensure the field always has current information
  • Coordinate material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement
  • Schedule inspections and proactively identify and resolve schedule, design, or scope conflicts
  • Quickly and professionally resolve jobsite issues, assuming ownership and mobilizing appropriate parties
  • Meet regularly with clients, project managers, interior designers, engineers, trade partners, and field staff to keep communication open, clear, and professional
  • Support company growth through continuous improvement, process discipline, and a commitment to doing things the right way
Requirements Must‑Haves
  • 5+ years experience leading residential remodel job sites as a Site Superintendent, Site Supervisor, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing, logistics, and quality control
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings and apply building codes correctly
  • Working knowledge of permitting and inspection processes across local jurisdictions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple active projects and make sound independent decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across clients, trade partners, and internal teams
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management / scheduling software (Smartsheet a plus)
Preferred (Not Required)
  • 10+ years in high‑end, custom residential remodeling
  • Significant experience working in a design‑build environment
  • Construction Management degree or equivalent combination of education and field experience
Benefits
  • Total Paid Time Off: 5 weeks
  • Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance: IHR covers 75% of premiums
  • Health Savings Account (HSA): $500 annual employer contribution
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 5% employer match
  • Company vehicle provided
  • All required tools provided
  • Paid holidays
  • Coffee & snack bar
Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000 – $135,000 (DOE)
Compensation within this range is based on depth of experience, demonstrated leadership, and a strong track record running high‑end residential remodels within a design‑build environment.
The upper end of the range reflects candidates with extensive experience leading complex, high‑end residential remodels and a proven ability to manage multiple projects at a high level within a design‑build firm.
