The OpportunityWe’re hiring a Project Engineer to support our growing heavy civil operations.
This role is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on involvement in complex infrastructure projects while developing their experience alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
You’ll play a key role in project coordination, field support, procurement, scheduling, documentation, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.
What You’ll Do-Can include but are not limited to:Support Project Execution
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination
- Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate project information, drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Support subcontractor and vendor coordination
- Process and track material deliveries and project submittals
- Assist with billing breakdowns and project reporting
- Coordinate self‑performed and subcontracted work activities
- Develop project‑specific work plans alongside field leadership
- Support field crews by ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date project information
- Assist with project startup and closeout documentation
- Coordinate with safety teams to support site compliance and communication
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity take‑offs and assist with pricing estimates
- Maintain organized project files and records
- Help identify scope gaps and support procurement efforts
- Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent field or construction experience considered
- 3+ years of Project Engineer or Field Engineer experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving ability
- Ability to work in varying construction site conditions and environments
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong coordination and documentation skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and field operations
