Skamania County Road Department is seeking a qualified applicant for the Summer Temporary Road Worker position.
SummaryUnder the supervision of the Public Works Road Maintenance Superintendent, this position provides ditch and road maintenance work for Skamania County involving the use of hand tools, power hand tools and equipment operation of light to medium trucks. This temporary‑intermittent position is not to exceed 90 days and is part of a summer maintenance crew receiving job instruction from a road foreman or lead person.
As a member of the crew, employees must demonstrate a positive attitude toward work assignments. Work may be performed without direct or immediate supervision; performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for conformance with instructions received and results obtained. Assignments require working outdoors in all weather conditions.
